Shop policies

Etsy and Folksy shops have their own sections about shop policies.  This page consolidates my terms and conditions across all my online shops, and some further information about the pieces I make.  I hope it's useful to you.  Please get in touch at blueforestjewellery@yahoo.com if you have any queries.

Unsure about buying or want a custom item?

Buying online can be a lottery, but luckily you can see the pictures and the descriptions, and find out whether other buyers have been happy. Check out my feedback to see what other customers have thought about the jewellery and about custom orders.  Basically, if you see something but want a different version or matching items, just send me a message and we’ll work together to see if we can get what you want.

Items come from a smoke-free but not pet-free home.  But the dog isn't very good with jewellery pliers, so he doesn't have much part in the construction process!

I use natural gemstones and beads in my pieces and I like that they have inclusions and the imperfections of nature.  Hopefully, you can see the variation in beads in my photos.

Paying for your goods

I accept Paypal payments.  Please be assured that at no stage do I see your personal banking/card details and they remain secure at all stages of the transaction.   If you have any problems with the payment process, please let me know and I’ll do what I can to help.

To avoid any delay in receiving your items, please check that both your Paypal and any delivery addresses you input on the shop site are the same.  If they aren't, I'll always contact you to check which address to send the item(s) to.  This is just in case someone is impersonating you!  If I don't hear from you after a couple of days, I'll mail the item(s) to your Paypal address, just for safety's sake.

Shipping

I ship from the UK.  I will use UK First Class Mail for customers in the UK, and Airmail for International shipments.   If you live in a country outside of the European Union you may be liable for Customs Duty on receiving your purchase. This is a legal requirement and it is the buyer's responsibility to pay any amount owing.  I will attach a Customs Form to your package indicating the value of the item(s) minus postage and packaging to make it easy for you.

Items will ship within 48 hours of receipt of payment, excluding Sundays and public holidays.  In practice, it's usually quicker than that!

Faster shipping can be arranged if you need something in a real hurry.  This will usually incur a further cost to you, and I need to collect payment before the item is shipped.  If you want to use this service, please let me know when purchasing and look out for an email from me about the arrangements.

Refunds and exchanges

I want you to enjoy whatever jewellery you purchase from me, so I offer a return policy. Any item may be returned within 14 days of receipt for a full refund, excluding postage and packaging costs.  Please e-mail me to let me know if you want to return an item or are dissatisfied in any way. We won’t fall out about it and I might be able to change or amend something so that it does please you!  Please return any items in their original unused condition and in the original packaging if possible. 

I'm sorry that Blue Forest Jewellery is not responsible for items lost during shipment.  If this happens, please let me know and I will try to help if I can.

Gift items

Want the item(s) delivered to someone else?  No problem, just let me know the name and address in an email or message.  Blue Forest Jewellery items are ideal as special gifts, and come beautifully gift wrapped in a deep blue pouch.  To save trees, I don’t send a receipt with purchases, so the recipient won’t get any price details.  If you want me to include a card or a special message for someone, just drop me a message.
